What is Vibrating Screen?

Vibrating Screen is also called vibration screen or vibrating screen machine, a kind of highly efficient vibration equipment, which mainly consists of a screen box, screen mesh, vibrator, damping spring device, chassis and other components. It is not only suitable for sand sieving in the stone quarry, but also for the classification in coal preparation, ore dressing, building material, and chemical industry.

Classification of Vibrating Screen

According to the number of sieve decks, the vibrating screen can be divided into double decks vibrating screen, three decks vibrating screen and four decks vibrating screen. Based on the application and weight, the vibrating screen machine is classified as mining vibrating screen, light fine vibrating screen and lab vibrating screen.

Applications of Fote Vibrating Screen

Screening: screening is to divide the granular and powder materials into different particle size groups. A single vibrating screen can be matched to 4 screens, which can conduct continuous separation of 2-5 particle sizes with narrow particle size range and control;
Screen out of impurities: during the high flow process of extreme performance screening machine, it can quickly remove large or small slurry residue particles. Vibrating screen can quickly remove all kinds of soluble solid materials in the slurry, and continuously screen the slag.

Application of Vibrating Screen

The movement of vibrating screen is round, and the series has a total of forty kinds of specifications. It can be used for the classification of materials in coal, mineral processing, building materials, electric power and chemical industry. 

How Vibrating Screen Works?

As an advanced type of multi-deck vibrating screen with high efficiency, round vibrating screen adopts cylinder eccentric shaft exciter. An unbalanced flywheel causes the shaking, which is in a mode of erratic motion. Under the violent vibration, different sized broken materials are separated through sieves into groups and fall down upon different mesh-sized decks.

YK Series Vibrating Screen VS. HK Series Vibrating Screen

Vibrating screen has the advantages of high screen efficiency, full range of diversity, stable vibration performance, and easy maintenance. HX series vibrating screen is developed from the YK series vibrating screen and YA series vibrating screen by FTM based customer feedback and long-time R&D. Compared to YK and YA series, the HX series vibrating screen has the following advantages.

  • Screen angle of 18°ensures a higher screening efficiency.
  • The exciter is structured of eccentric shaft and the eccentric block provides enough excited force.
  • Thin-oil self-lubrication allows replacing the lubrication once every 3-6 months
  • A wearable rubber protective layer on key parts extends the screen service life.

The Structure Parameters of the Screen Surface

For certain materials, the productivity and screening efficiency of the vibrating screen depending on the size of the mesh sieve. Productivity depends on the width of the screen surface, widescreen has high productivity. The screening efficiency depends on the length of the screen; the long screen surface has high screening efficiency. The general proportion between the length and width is 2.

Production Conditions

When the load is larger, the screening efficiency is low. The feeding uniformity has a great impact on the sieving process.
